In collaboration with Spirit Lab Distilling, we fill freshly emptied whiskey barrels with our pure Virginia maple syrup. These oak barrels held single malt scotch made with Virginia grown malted barley. After several months of aging, the syrup takes on the subtle complexity of fine whiskey. Not only does this impart wonderful aromas into the maple syrup, but we send the sticky barrels back to Spirit Lab to be filled once again with craft whiskey that will carry a hint of maple syrup. And so continues the cycle of partnership and incredible flavors…
Refills: We sell our syrup in glass bottles with hang tags instead of sticky labels. This allows you to reuse the bottle, or bring it to us at the RVA Big Market (Richmond) or Staunton farmer’s markets where we offer a $1 discount for returning your bottle.
